Wow, this sounds really awesome. It seems like an good idea for future generations. If you only think about the here and now, you won't get anywhere in the future.
I think the Kids need the Gospel first before learning to be missionaries. He's doctrine orientation is "missional" meaning he's all about reaching out to unbelievers and Christianizing them; basically he wants to put down the walls of the church and make believers and unbeliever feel at home; its not bad of an idea, except that the church is made for believers, not unbelievers.
So the Gospel is what should be placed above all other activities - like playplace, and fun, and crafts. His primary goal seems to be to prepare the kids to be community leaders.
